Those Waxy Celebrities

...were my favorite part of the Choir Trip to NYC. It's a tough call, though. Spamalot was hilarious. The bus trip was fun. The choir was amazing on Sunday morning... good trip all around. Check out a few pics:

Thanks everyone for an awesome time!

Let's do it again next year.

Winter??

So I'm looking out my third floor window at this:It's nice to finally have snow, but I'm still waiting for old man winter to send in the big guns. This isn't even enough for a decent snowball fight.

On the other hand, I'm not sure I'm ready for this:This is a picture from last February in NYC, where our Sherrerd Choir happened to be at the time (and they still tell stories about it). Let's hope for something more than exhibit A, but less than exhibit B!

That's right - this weekend is the annual Thomas Sherrerd Choir trip to NYC, and cyberpastor is going along. That means...

No regular senior high youth group on Sunday

Middle schoolers will be meeting as usual at 6:00 on the third floor of church with Amy & crew.

Also, mark your calendars now for:

Saturday February 3rd - Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser in Fellowship hall. Come on out to support the summer mission trip, and to hear some amazing stories from Keith Titus, a pastor who lives and works on the reservation in South Dakota. Cost is $10 - $5 for kids - under 3 = free. This will be an awesome night and everyone should be there.

Sunday February 4th - Superbowl Party at the Sandersons. Everyone is invited over to the manse for snacks, football and other good times. For those not interested in the game, we will get some other activities going, and there's always my two cute kids to hang out with :)

Sunday February 11th - "Generation Why" youth gathering - this is a presbytery sponsored gathering for youth from all over south jersey, and it happens at our church! It runs from 2-6pm, with breakout sessions, a live band and some great group games. Make sure to be there! No regular youth group this night.

Come on, snow... you can do it... just a little more...

We're Back!!!

Happy New Year CyberYouthGroup!! It's good to be back.

Here's a picture of the little guy who's had me MIA for the last few weeks.

His name is Josiah- (for those of you who have been trying to guess the name, his story is found in 2 Kings 22:1-23:23 - it's a cool story: a boy king, a prophetess, an ancient document discovered, idols smashed, etc. etc.). Anyway, he's cute and fun and I'll bring him to youth group sometime for show and tell.

We have big things in store for youth group the next few months! I will be sending out a newsletter with all the calendar updates. For now, here's what happens this weekend:

Senior Highers - This Sunday, we will join with the confirmation class to serve a meal to a group of homeless men. The men are staying at our church, and the meal will be served in fellowship hall. Please arrive at 5:30 - we will eat at six (your dinner is free). We should be finished up by about 6:45 or 7:00. This is a great chance to have some good conversations and meet some unique individuals.

Junior Highers - This Sunday, There will be regular youth group in the youth lounge, from 6-7:30. bring your usual $3 for pizza. I'm sure Amy and crew have some great plans up their sleeves. Plus, there's always sardines in a can!

Monday - we are holding the annual Martin Luther King Day of Service at Grace Episcopal church (right across the street). Plan to wear some grubby clothes, meet up at 8:30 am at Grace, and wrap up here at FPC by 12:30 pm. This should be a fun time of hanging out with great people and doing great work for our community.

Events on the horizon: mission trip spaghetti dinner, Haddonfield Home ice cream social, "Generation Why" youth conference, youth group super bowl party, etc. etc. etc....

2007 is going to be a great year!
