Looking Ahead... This Sunday afternoon is the Echelon Mall "Winter Mall Walk for the Homeless." The plan is to walk around Echelon Mall (now known as the "Town Center") to raise awareness about homelessness in our area. Everyone is invited to meet up in the foodcourt at the mall between 1 and 1:30. The walk starts at 2 pm, and yellow balloons will guide you to the starting line. Sadly, I will not be there. However, an adult from our congregation has agreed to be there as a point person. His name is Ed Hess (see picture below). Make sure you check in with him, and then you're free to walk at your own pace. Plan to get picked up no later than 3 pm. Here's Ed:

In other news, if you are a 30-hour famine person, we need to start gathering sponsors! I will leave a stack of sponsor envelopes at church, which you can pick up anytime, including Sunday Morning. The goal is for people to sponsor you for every hour you don't eat. Let's see how much money we can raise in the next week or so! Ask your teachers, your neighbors, your friends... Everything goes to fight hunger through World Vision International. Stop by church to pick up your envelopes ASAP.
See you all soon.
