Here's an interesting clip. Penn Jillette, world famous magician and comedian, self-professed atheist, deeply touched by an offer of a Bible from a stranger. A very different view on religious proselytizing, from a very non-religious man.
Whoever that stranger was had clearly taken Saint Paul's advice to heart. Truth and grace, well-balanced, is a rare thing, and people tend to notice.
That's my two-cents for the day.

Spring Calendar
Here's the April/May Calendar Eryn and I worked up. Clicking it should give you a larger view. The format is different from last time, but hopefully the information gets across. I will also post it under the "calendar pages" section of the sidebar for easy referencing.
8th-12th graders, note the May 2nd Bike Ride/Beach Retreat event. This should be lots of fun, so save the date!
6th & 7th graders, note that you finally get your Lock-In on May 15th! Spread the word!
This Sunday we have regular youth group, with a special guest speaker from Urban Promise and some fun games. Be there!
Talent Show Pics
I'm hoping we'll also have some video footage to post, but in the meantime, here are some pics of the big night...

Saint Patrick's Day Party!

This Sunday, youth group will be partying with the saintly man in Green - Saint Patrick! Come at your usual time. Wear green. Be ready for some Irish-style good times and a glimpse of the real Patrick, who was apparently pretty cool.
Hope to see everyone there.

from the "yuck" department

A few of us went to Collingswood's "Pop Shop" Sunday night to hang out. Generally a yummy place, but we came across an interesting menu item:
"The Grease Truck"
Mini Angus beef burgers, foot-long hot dog, French fries, onion rings, American cheese,
ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato on a foot-long roll. Served with pickle and coleslaw.
different strokes for different folks... (actually, the waitress admitted she had never sold one. Maybe a name change is in order).

Jesus in the Desert
Thanks to those of you who helped me bring the Matthew 4 passage to life last Sunday. Folks have been admiring your creativity in the hallway.
For a different presentation of the same images, check out this video - surprisingly moving when you see it set to music...
See you again this Sunday for youth group, same time, same place, same good times and deep thoughts...
